Rylan Clark Drops an X Factor Bomb on Alan Carr’s Life A Beach Podcast


Strictly It Takes Two host Rylan Clark has revealed some filming secrets during his time on The X Factor.

The 33-year-old appeared on the ITV singing show in 2012 in the ninth series.

Though he recently revealed that despite the show’s big budget, contestants don’t always feel the benefits.

Appearing on Alan Carr’s ‘Life A Beach’ podcast this week, the presenter admitted that although they were filmed entering first class, that wasn’t really the case.

Speaking about the whirlwind experience, he made no secret that the show’s producers were sticking to a budget, reports, The Express.

Rylan broke down in tears after learning he was taken to the live shows by his mentor Nicole Scherzinger while at her home in Dubai.

Alan told Rylan that he “wasn’t born yesterday” and knew this wasn’t really his home.

Ryaln said: No, we were in a nice hotel. A royal residence. That’s when X Factor had some money.”

He then talked about when the contestants were filmed for the show checking into the airport’s first class lounge.

However, when it was time to board the plane and the cameras stopped filming, they were told to depart first class.

Rylan continued, “I was like, ‘Oh, that’s exciting,’ a bit of filming at the bar, and then they’re like, ‘right, back of the plane’. Once the filming stopped, we were in economics.”

Recently, the star campaigned for Channel 4 to bring back the UK version of Celebrity Big Brother after it was announced that the Australian version would air on E4.

On Twitter, he tagged Channel 4 about the Australian TV show saying ‘Amazing news……NOW bring ours back’.

After his stint on The X Factor, Rylan appeared on Celeb Big Brother in 2013 and won the show.

Quickly becoming a fan favorite, he later co-hosted Big Brother’s Bit On The Side until it was canceled five years later.

Rylan recently made headlines after a video surfaced of him at a party asking “give me the gear”, a slang term for drugs.

Although he was not seen taking or requesting a specific illegal substance, he was inundated with support from concerned fans, including Chase star Jenny Ryan.
