On January 31, 2022, Michael Ray Clark of Camp Verde, Arizona died in Flagstaff, AZ after a short battle with Covid Pneumonia. The family is grateful for the compassionate care provided by members of Flagstaff Medical Center. Mike was born on 3/21/1945 in Silver City, NM to parents Burton Clark, Sr and Elanor (Schmidt) Clark. Mike is survived by his son, Patrick Clark (Jenny) of Flagstaff, AZ and his 4 grandchildren. He is survived by his brother, Burton Clark Jr. (Donna) of Eureka, MT.
Mike was a career member of Operations Engineers and worked in the West and South West as a qualified heavy equipment operator and expert crane operator. Some of his notable works included the Luxor Hotel in Las Vegas, Las Vegas Airport, Navajo (Page) Generating Station, numerous bridges, refineries and wind farms. As a member of Operating Engineers, Mike was a “safety first” man. He was very proud of what he did and all his colleagues knew him as an absolute pro. Outside of work, Mike enjoyed recreational play and a “pinch” of Crown Royal whiskey. If you had ever done anything for him, you would know that he always insisted on paying you for what you did. He was proud to pay for the help. Those who knew him well knew that he liked to have a lively conversation to see what would happen.
Private services will be at a later date.
Michael Ray Clark will forever be remembered as a man who, without a doubt, lived his life in his own way. Rest in peace, RCN!
