NEW Clark City being developed in Capas, Tarlac is opening up investment opportunities for U.S. companies in sectors including healthcare, the economics section of the U.S. Embassy in the Philippines has said.
In a statement released Wednesday, the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA), which manages the new complex, the US Embassy said.‘s economic team is optimistic about New Clark City‘s potential as an engine of development in the region north of Metro Manila.
“The development of New Clark City provides an opportunity to promote prosperity in Central Luzon and beyond,” said a US Embassy delegation in a message to the BCDA during a recent tour of New Clark City.
“We look forward to continued investment — including by American companies — in key sectors such as health, renewable energies, information and communication technologies and infrastructures.”
“Supporting inclusive and sustainable economic growth has been a cornerstone of our bilateral economic engagement in the Philippines. The recent public publication of the Biden administration‘s The Indo-Pacific strategy highlights the United States‘ commitment to a free and open Indo-Pacific and strong economic partnerships in the region,” he added.
New Clark City is being developed as an alternative government center and investment center outside of Metro Manila. Prospective businesses can easily move their products and services as they are located near Clark International Airport and Subic Bay Freeport. — Revin Mikhael D. Ochave
