Clark County is hosting a public service job fair with local cities and several other government agencies from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday May 5in the North Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center located at 300 Convention Center Drive.
Job seekers interested in attending the event are encouraged to register online through the One-Stop Career Center at http://www.nvcareercenter.org/pscf/. Passers-by are welcome and parking is free. In addition to Clark County, participating agencies include the cities of Las Vegas, Henderson, and North Las Vegas, Clark County Department of Aviation, Southern Nevada Health District, Convention and Visitors Authority of Las Vegas, the Las Vegas-Clark County Library District, Southern Nevada Regional Commission of Transportation and Nevada Division of Wellness and Support Services and Department of Employment, Training and rehabilitation.
“As our economy recovers from the pandemic, Clark County and many government agencies are actively recruiting for a variety of vacancies,” said Clark County Commission Chairman Jim Gibson. “Some high-needs areas for the county include engineers, building inspectors, cybersecurity and information technology help desk personnel, summer lifeguards, and Safe Key workers. Anyone interested in a career in public service is encouraged to attend this event to learn about the depth and breadth of opportunities.
The job fair offers attendees the opportunity to meet staff face-to-face to ask questions and learn more about the application and hiring process for a variety of government jobs and the benefits of working in the public sector. . Job seekers interested in working for Clark County can also learn more about the Career Concierge Service offered by our Human Resources Department who are available to guide individuals through the application process and verify the status of their candidacy after the close of job postings. New positions are posted on the Clark County website every Tuesday at https://clarkcountynv.gov/careers. Job seekers can also submit interest cards online to receive emails about job categories that interest them.
